3 initials. 3 brothers. A sound which will electrify your teeth and frenetic beats will will fuck with your head.
DSL love electro and rock ‘n’ roll : their aim was to change the face of hip-hop and everything else too. DSL were part of well-known Parisian amateur crew : the Mutant Clan and Métisse foundation wrecked havoc for a while with a unique style – a meeting of minds and different genres : punk / funk / rock / hip hop / reggae. All that created a real community spirit, which allowed the DSL brothers to widen their horizons and break free from a group already making a stir. The result: no inhibitions, a unique flow that is almost pop, a strong penchant for electro, and a desire to get heads moving to their ASDL hip-hop sound : DSL CREW!
They have collaborated with the likes of Jack Lahana, here a producer but equally known as a remixer with a sound that’s playful, phat and deep. There’s also Bogue, a guitarist often called in to add attitude to productions. The video for Les Beats Qui Tapent Fort was put together magnificently by Manu Cossu, a promising young director (since known for the artwork for Sebastien Tellier’s Sexuality).
